Peterborough Lift Lock

Designated as a national historic site in 1979, the Peterborough Lift Lock, also known as Lock 21 on the Trent-Severn Waterway, is one of the world’s highest hydraulic boat lifts in the world. It attracts a number of visitors, both locally and beyond. The canal below is a popular site for family skating during the winter time and fishing during the spring, summer and fall.

Beavermeade Campground

Located on beautiful Little Lake in the heart of Peterborough, Beavermead Campground is a 95 site campground where families can enjoy everything that the city has to offer while kicking back and relaxing at the same time. Fishing, swimming, boating and sighting seeing are all readily available given the unique location of this well-known and respected campground.
