Built in 1956, the PMC is home to the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League and the Century 21 Lakers of the Major Series Lacrosse League. Aside from sporting events, the arena is well known for hosting local events including trade shows, fairs and other large gatherings.
Located in the Peterborough Memorial Centre parking lot, the local farmer’s market is a staple in the local lifestyle and has become a very successful stage for local farmers and businesses/vendors. Running all year long, the market moves indoors to the Morrow Building just next door during the winter months, ensuring no shortage of local goods for the public.
